STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1.0 Definitions
Customer / Client: Any person or entity purchasing products or using this website, instore, via the phone or any of the online / social media platforms owned, controlled and managed by Central Point Mercedes.
Products: Mercedes-Benz spare parts and related items sold by the company.
Order: A request placed by a Customer to purchase products.
Zimbabwean Law: Refers to all relevant statutes, regulations, and policies applicable within Zimbabwe.
2.0 Eligibility
To purchase products a customer must possess the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. Where necessary a customer may be asked to provide documents like company registration documents, tax clearances, etc.
They must also provide accurate and complete information when placing an order. Tax registration numbers e.g. VAT Registration, TIN Numbers, Contact Details and Registered Address of Trade may be asked for prior to placing an order.
3.0 Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product descriptions, specifications, and images. A client is always advised to check with his/her mechanic to ensure compatibility or supply accurate part numbers, engine type prefixes, chassis type prefix model types, year of manufacture and/or VIN number to pinpoint the exact part, component, module or equipment required.
This is so because actual product appearance may vary due to model variations or updates by suppliers. Availability is subject to stock levels and supplier availability.
Prices may change without prior notice.
4.0 Pricing and Taxes (Zimbabwe)
All prices are listed in Zimbabwean dollars (ZWL) or United States Dollars (USD), depending on the pricing method displayed.
Prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) as indicated at checkout.
Prices are governed by Zimbabwe’s pricing and tax regulations, including:
- Value Added Tax Act (Chapter 23:12)
- Any relevant ZIMRA rules regarding sale of goods, importation, excise, and presumptive tax.

5.3 Payment Terms
Our invoices are payable cash instore, cash on delivery for local deliveries or upfront for out of town deliveries, unless another payment timeframe has been negotiated and approved by management.
For out of town deliveries payment must be made in full before an order is dispatched or collected.
Orders that remain unpaid after 24–48 hours (depending on policy) may be cancelled automatically.
For special orders or indented parts, a non-refundable deposit may be asked for in advance. This is so because such orders are usually custom orders specific to the individual car or one of its kind on the market therefore if the customer cancels the order there will be no one to sell the ordered item to.
6.0 Payment Default
6.1 Default Payment Circumstances
A payment default occurs when:
- A customer reverses, disputes, or fails to honour a payment.
A payment method e.g. bank transfer, mobile money transfer or credit card transaction is dishonoured or reversed.
Fraudulent activity.
6.2 Consequences of Default
Payment default regardless of circumstances may lead to:
Order cancellation.
Suspension of customer account.
Recovery of outstanding amounts via lawful debt collection methods.
Additional administrative or legal fees as allowed under Zimbabwean law.
On such defaults Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd reserves the right to request a fixed interest payment amounting to 10% of the sum remaining due.
7.0 Order Processing & Delivery
Customers place orders by calling in person, through the telephone, via social media or by filling in an online shop form. Our customer service team will receive the order cost it and send the customer a quotation which the customer approves and gives the go ahead to supply. The customer then elects to either pick up or requests the shop to deliver: The following should be noted:
- Orders are processed upon confirmation of payment.
- Delivery / Courier charges accrue to the customer.
- Delivery timelines vary depending on location, product availability and courier service availability.
- We are not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers, customs clearance, or supplier constraints.
- Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or collection, whichever comes first.
8.0 Refunds & Return Policy
Easy shopping, simple returns - that's our promise. At Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd, we are committed to making the shopping experience as seamless and worry-free as possible. We understand that there may be times when a purchase may not meet a customer's expectations or a customer's needs might change. When that happens, we make completing a return simple and convenient.
Most items can be returned for a refund or replacement/exchange within 7 days of delivery as long as they are in original or unused condition. However the following must be noted:
8.1 Eligibility for Refund/Return
A return or refund may be accepted under the following circumstances:
Incorrect item supplied.
Defective or damaged product supplied (subject to assessment and inspection).
Product not matching description significantly.
Warranty claim (if applicable).
8.2 Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds are issued for:
Electrical components (e.g., sensors, ECUs, modules).
Products damaged due to improper installation or misuse.
Parts installed on non-Mercedes models or incompatible vehicles.
Special-order/imported items except where legally required.
Goods returned without original packaging, accessories, or proof of purchase.
8.3 Refund Procedure
Customer must immediately notify Central Point Mercedes within a day or two of receiving the product. An extended period not exceeding 7 days will be allowed but beyond that such claims may not be entertained.
Item must be returned in unused condition unless proved to be defective.
Depending on availability of funds and / or quantum of the refund a refund can be processed instantly but normal processing is within 7–14 working days, depending on payment mode.
Refund may be issued as:
Store credit
Replacement
Cash, Mobile Money, Credit Card / Bank refund (depending on original payment method)
Shipping or courier costs are non-refundable, unless the error that caused the refund was as a result of a mistake by Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd.
9.0 Warranties
Some products may include manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary depending on the part type and supplier. If warranty is applicable it is void if:
Part is fitted incorrectly
Vehicle is modified or used for racing or off-spec purposes.
Damage is caused by negligence or external factors.
Also since some of the goods are foreign manufactured some manufacturers claim they are not able to fulfil terms of the warranty extra terrestrialy.
10.0 Limitation of Liability
Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd undertakes to do its best to supply performant services in due time in accordance with the agreed timeframes. However, none of its obligations can be considered as being an obligation to achieve results. Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd cannot under any circumstances, be required by the client to appear as a third party in the context of any claim for damages filed against the client by an end consumer.
To the fullest extent permitted under Zimbabwean law:
- We are not liable for consequential or indirect damages, including loss of income, loss of use, or vehicle downtime.
- We do not guarantee the performance of third-party courier services.
- All products must be fitted by a qualified Mercedes-Benz technician/mechanic; failure to do so may void support.
11.0 Disclaimer
- Mercedes-Benz® is a registered trademark of Daimler AG.
- We are independent resellers and not directly affiliated with Mercedes-Benz or Daimler AG unless explicitly stated.
- Use of vehicle model names or numbers is solely for identification purposes.
12.0 Intellectual Property
All Website content, including text, images, logos, and product information, is the property of the Central Point Mercedes (Pvt) Ltd and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
13.0 Privacy Policy
By using our Website, you agree to our data collection and usage practices as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
14.0 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be settled in Zimbabwean courts or through arbitration as allowed under local legislation.
15.0 Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective once posted on the Website.
